Santa Margarita PTA raises funds throughout the year to provide programs and supplies that enhance your child’s experience during the academic year. Take a look at how we've allocated these funds over the years.
2024-25 Allocations


Events, Assemblies & Field Trips

Funds went towards schoolwide assemblies, back-to-school events, the Battle of the Books, transportation for field trips, the Fall Harvest Festival, Teacher Appreciation Week, a talent show, and an end-of-year barbecue. Proceeds from the Harvest Festival helped send our 5th graders to science camp at Camp Ocean Pines!

Equipment & Upgrades

The PTA supported our school by maintaining the staff lounge, replacing outdated and broken playground equipment, and installing a new FloWater refilling station at the start of the 2024–25 school year. This year, the inclusive furniture was made possible thanks to funds raised during the Mustang Ball paddle raise.

Teacher Allocations, Supplies & PTA Expenses

Every supply a student at SMES needs throughout the year is covered through PTA-funded teacher allocations. Each teacher receives funds for classroom supplies, and we also allocate funds for office supplies, art supplies, the yearbook, and administrative expenses.

School Clubs & Programs

We were able to fund a variety of clubs and programs including Art Club, Chess Club, Garden Club, Makers Club, Robotics Club, and the new Junior CEO Club. Additionally, we have an artist-in-residence and provide after-school tutoring. We've also allocated funds for a Language Club, so if you know someone interested in joining, please let us know!
